About Lagniappe Consignment!

   Lagniappe Shoe Warehouse in Covington is expanding to add Women’s Designer Clothing & Accessories. People (also known as consignors) will bring their items for us to sell for them.  We do not own the merchandise – we pay consignors after their items have sold. 

We have excellent to new condition seasonal items for all occasions.  We will accept women’s clothing sizes 0-3X and typically only have one of any item.    

Terms of consignment!

   Here at Lagniappe Shoes and Consignment, we accept women’s clothing (sizes 0-3x), shoes, handbags, hats, belts, scarves, jewelry, and quality vintage items. We accept brand name clothing found in boutiques, major department stores, and other brand name stores. We DO NOT accept items with rips, stains, tears, missing buttons, nonworking zippers, shoes that are overly worn, soiled items, or items that are less than top quality. While we do provide the best in consignment clothing, we are far from a thrift or second-hand clothing store. We strive to provide our consigners and customers with the best possible fashions.

We accept current styles and vintage items. Please bring current items (no more than three years old) or high-quality vintage items (such as furs, hats, jewelry, and dresses). Before bringing in your items, be sure that they are clean, pressed, free from any smoke or animal smell, and on hangers. When you make your appointment, always check to see what items we are taking and which items are the high sellers. We prefer to take items on a seasonal basis (for example: coats and boots in the winter, sundresses and sandals in the summer).

Items need to be in style, classic pieces.  We will only accept designer name brand items, minimum 15 items.  We do not guarantee that we will accept any items – we will base the decision on the style, condition and current inventory of the item. 

We prefer the items be left with us for 90 days.  However, the merchandise belongs to the consignor and can be returned at anytime with 7 days notice to pick up.  We split the proceeds with our consignors 50-50 once the item has been sold.  We will accept no more than 25 items per each consignor at each appointment.  (If you have more than 25 exceptional items let us know when you call for your appointment.)

We carefully price the items to provide the best value for our shoppers and consignors.  All prices are fair and firm. Consignors will be emailed (or mailed) a list of all items consigned within 2-3 days, with prices, for approval.

Pricing Merchandise!

   We price each item we accept about 50%-30% of original price, depending on the condition of the item.  Items can be reduced 30% after 60 days with the consignor’s approval. 

It is important to remember if you have elected to pick-up your items that you do so in a timely manner. You will be notified either by e-mail or phone call that your items are ready to pick up. Please do so in no more than 30 days. Here at Lagniappe we do not have the ability to keep your unsold items longer than 30 days. If after several attempts to contact you and a minimum of 30 days has elapsed, your unsold items will become the property of Lagniappe and donated to one of our charitable organizations.

• Items from Target, Wal-Mart etc. Items that are NOT designer name brands
• Items that are damaged or have any odors.
• Items with excessive wear.
• Most items that have shoulder pads.
• Double pleated pants and shorts.
• Jumpsuits, Overalls or stirrup pants.
• Maternity

   All sales are final – no exchanges or returns.

   Sorry, we cannot place any items on hold or layaway.
